Fashion is always changing and is therefore extremely unpredictable.  This is why it is often a little difficult to know what is hot and what most definitely is not!

This is why, if you are a true fashionista, you will know how to stay on top of the latest trends.  The best way to do this is to is to follow both the infamous designers and also the of the moment designers.  There are also new designers to look out for and these are often the ones that make it big!

Another great way to check out the latest trends is to read all the style notes in the latest magazines.  They often cover new designers as well as the various fashion weeks taking place around the globe!

If you are lucky enough to attend to fashion shows, this is of course a great way to get all the fashion gossip before everyone else.

Fashion Week features all that is to come for the next season, meaning you will be ahead of every other fashionista and will know what to invest in for the new year!

As well as cut and style, colour is also extremely important and often changes as the seasons do.

This year appears to be warming towards the softer hues and pastel shades.  These colours in fact are said to promote an inner feeling of well being and contentment.

These colours include orange and a variety of shades in between, a lighter hue of yellow, pink and other softer and organic colours.

Other colours you may expect to see in the up and coming seasons include the likes of grey and neutral colours.  All of these are suitable for office attire and can be jazzed up with an injection of colour.  This injection of colour could be in the shape of a hot hued scarf, some eye-catching jewellery, a killer pair of shoes or a colourful lip hue.

Most women will only dream of owning a piece of haute couture clothing and such rarefied garments showcase infamous designer’s wildest imaginations!

Giving this day and ages’ climate, one would be led to believe that shopping was the last thing on our minds.  This however doesn’t mean we shouldn’t admire the over the top and loud creations of past and present.

High street stores are struggling and those that once spent half of their earning on clothing are now cutting down considerably.  Yet haute couture still lives on.  The likes of Giambattista Valli, Armani Prive, Chanel, Atelier VersaceMaison Martin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, Givenchy and Ellie Saab are just a few of the high profile designers that continue to provide to the upmost fashion lovers.

The only reason they are able to do this is because there is still a handful of woman out there that don’t bat an eyelid when it comes to spending tens of thousands on one single hand cut and meticulously sewn design!

It appears that haute couture is on the rise, despite the fact high street chains are losing out.

Haute couture is in fact recording significant gains across the fashion world, which of course means we will be able to continue to view these stylish garments in the foreseeable future.

Haute couture items manage to grab every single curve and push it upwards in a way that makes our codies look divine.  This is possibly why most desire to own just one piece from such a collection.

However if you don’t have thousands to part with, you will have to settle with quite simply envying the girls that are able to wear them.  They do however requires an inevitably special occasion and would never be suited to a night at your local cocktail bar!

One of this season’s new trends comes in the shape of ‘glam Victorian’.  This particular style is a great winter look and offers the likes of a super sexy style with an added fierce edge!

This fierce edge is worked into the look with the addition of a few individual pieces.  Think sheer statement black maxi dresses teamed with spiky statement necklaces and killer edgy platforms.

The extras give this otherwise simple maxi a tough and fierce edge.

This look can also work for those on a budget.  Simply opt for a pricey party dress and match with high street accessories or otherwise a high street dress and designer accessories.  This will allow you to amp up that glam factor a notch but on the cheap!

Statement pieces that make great investments for this trend include the likes of suede boots embellished with a chunky heel and added fasteners, leather look maxis, sheer leotards with velvet bodices, sheer shawls with beaded collars, spiky embellished neck pieces, statement clutches in ruby red velvet, over sized adorned cuffs and fierce biker jackets.

All of the above pieces can be both purchased as high street items or alternatively designer pieces.  Check our Religion and All Saints; both designer stores have nailed this trend down to a t!

If you are a vampire fan then this is certainly the look for you!  It certainly gives vampire buffs an excuse to watch all those recent vampire TV shows and films again.

Wear with tousled locks to really give the look a vampire-esque style.  Look to Zac Posen for a little style inspiration.  His recent catwalk show was full of leather and sheer glam Victorian style pieces.  Models wore silver eyes and messy bed hair as a finishing touch to the new season trend.
